Check out this stunt by a UK-based outdoor clothing company called Finisterre.

What I like:

It could not have cost that much, is fun and clearly noteworthy.

The tag line at the end of the video is perfect.

Of course, the proof is in the view-based pudding. Over 275 000 humans have now watched this sheep make like Kelly Slater. Not too shabby. (Note – the reason the view total is different on the video embedded here, is because this site is not enabled to post flash video) .

  • Hi Jackson,

Just to say thanks for posting this. I’ve just been browsing your blog and absolutely love this sheep stunt and the Starbucks guerilla stunt you’ve recently posted. It’s great to see what imaginative things companies are doing to raise awareness of their brand and their core values.

  • Thanks Shelley. Glad you liked these posts 🙂

In my day job, my dept does tonnes of guerrilla stuff. We’ve def had hits and plenty of misses. But it is a really fun area to work in. I like how the creative side has to combine with traditional and new media relations.

For me, the lesson with these two initiatives is that firm size doesn’t matter that much in terms of ability to pull off cool guerrilla activity. Companies just need to be willing to try.
